Celebrating Asia Day 2017

All the children at Old Hall School enjoyed celebrating Asia Day.

There were a variety of activities going on during the day including, making diva lamps and learning how they are used at Diwali.

In our sensory rooms we listened to different types of Asian Music and told the story of Geeta.  For snack time we tasted Asian food, including, samosas, spring rolls, onion bhaji and chickpea curry .

We had great fun decorating our hands in henna, these are called mehndi patterns.

Everyone had a good time Bhangra dancing in the hall followed by music with Bev where we played different instruments to Asian music.

We finished our Asia day making chapattis which the children really enjoyed tasting. Overall, all the children have had a lovely day learning all about Asian culture.
